1.Job Summary
The Senior Contracting Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting all subcontracting activities within construction projects. The role involves reviewing and analyzing contract documents, preparing and issuing subcontract agreements, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms and company policies. The engineer also coordinates with procurement and project teams to evaluate subcontractors, monitor their performance, and ensure timely and compliant project execution according to legal and contractual standards.
2. Job Duties
• Review and analyze contract documents, drawings, BOQs, specifications, schedules, and procurement requirements.
• Prepare and issue subcontract agreements in line with company standards and project requirements.
• Prepare quotation requests and evaluate subcontractor and supplier offers.
• Conduct technical and commercial negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely execution of contracting activities and contractual compliance.
• Monitor subcontractor performance through site visits and progress reports.
• Identify risks, deviations, and non-compliance issues, and report corrective actions to management.
• Support procurement activities and ensure alignment between contracting and project execution plans.
• Ensure all subcontracting activities comply with contractual, legal, and company regulations.
3. Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in construction or contracting companies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and procurement-related software.
• Strong knowledge of contract management principles and subcontracting procedures.
• Good negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
• Experience in large-scale construction projects is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills in reviewing technical and commercial documents.
