Job Summary
A Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling project schedules to ensure timely delivery of construction or engineering projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Prepare baseline schedule (Client & Internal)
2. Prepare monthly schedule update (Client & Internal)
3. Engineering, Subcontractors and Procurement follow up
4. Prepare daily, Weekly and Monthly report (Consultant & Internal Reports)
5. Coordinate and communicate the project issues and progress with all project’s stakeholders
6. Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions
7. Prepare revised/recovery plans in case of schedule slippage
8. Preparing delay analysis for EOT claims
Qualifications & Skills
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Construction, Mechanical, or related field)
• Certification: PMP, PMI-SP, PSP (AACE), or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory)
• Years of Experience: 5-7 years of experience, preferably in construction or contracting companies.
• Software: Primavera P6, Excel, MS Project and Power BI (optional)
• Skills: Strong communication & coordination Leadership skills, Analytical thinking, Presentation skills, active listening
