Job Summary
The Construction Team Leader is responsible for leading and supervising a construction crew on site, ensuring daily work activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Supervision
• Lead and supervise a team of workers and tradesmen on the construction site.
• Assign daily tasks and ensure the team meets production targets.
• Provide on-the-job guidance and support to team members.
• Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials by the team.
2. Work Execution & Quality
• Ensure all construction activities are executed per approved drawings and specs.
• Inspect completed work for quality and coordinate rework when required.
• Coordinate with other teams and disciplines to avoid clashes and delays.
3. Safety Compliance
• Enforce all HSE procedures and ensure team compliance with safety rules.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks with the crew.
• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the site supervisor.
4. Reporting
• Report daily work progress, manpower, and material usage to the foreman.
• Maintain basic site records and activity logs.
Qualifications & Skills
• Education: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil/Arch engineering or related field.
• Certificates: Site safety certification preferred.
• Years of Experience: 7:10 years in construction site work, at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Software: Basic MS Office, AutoCAD and ability to read construction drawings.
• Skills: Leadership, team management, ability to read technical drawings, communication, problem-solving, strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
