1. Job Summary
The Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and operational readiness of all company equipment, machinery, and heavy assets. The role ensures optimal equipment performance, availability, safety, and cost efficiency through effective maintenance strategies, operational coordination, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to support business and project requirements.
2. Job Duties
Maintenance Strategy & Planning
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs across all equipment.
• Plan and manage maintenance schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency.
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
• Oversee daily maintenance and repair activities for all heavy equipment and machinery.
• Ensure timely servicing to minimize downtime and operational disruption.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and equipment history.
Equipment Operations Management
• Coordinate equipment allocation and utilization across projects and sites.
• Monitor equipment performance, availability, and productivity.
• Ensure proper deployment and mobilization of equipment based on operational needs.
• Analyze utilization data and recommend improvements to increase efficiency.
• Monitor fuel consumption and equipment operational performance indicators.
Team & Vendor Management
• Supervise maintenance technicians, mechanics, and support staff.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to team members.
Compliance & Safety
• Ensure all equipment-related activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and operational standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and safety audits.
Inventory & Spare Parts Management
• Manage spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies inventory.
• Optimize stock levels to ensure availability while controlling costs.
Reporting & Documentation
• Prepare maintenance and operational reports, downtime analysis, and performance metrics.
• Maintain updated equipment manuals, service records, and warranty documentation.
3.Job Requirements
• Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications: CMRP, PMP, or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Experience: 10–15 years of experience in equipment management, maintenance, and operations within construction, infrastructure, mining, or heavy industrial sectors, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Software: ERP systems, CMMS, MS Office, and equipment diagnostic tools.
