1. Job Summary
The Senior Civil Technical Office Engineer is responsible for leading and controlling civil and structural engineering activities for assigned project scopes within residential and commercial construction projects. The role ensures that structural, concrete, earthworks, and civil infrastructure drawings, RFIs, materials submittals, and quantity take-offs are accurately prepared, coordinated, technically correct, and aligned with project specifications, contract documents, and consultant requirements. The Senior Engineer acts as the technical reference for junior engineers and supports the successful delivery of civil and structural engineering submittal cycles.
2. Duties & Responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and finalize structural, concrete, earthworks, and civil infrastructure drawings based on IFC drawings, contractual documents, specifications, and consultant comments.
• Prepare RFIs and manage follow-up cycles until official responses are received.
• Prepare and review civil and structural engineering submittals (materials, prequalification, method statements) in coordination with procurement and site teams.
• Coordinate civil and structural scopes with Architectural and MEP disciplines to avoid conflicts on site.
• Review quantity take-offs, revise BOQs, and release civil engineering quantities to procurement when required.
• Provide civil and structural engineering support to site execution teams and resolve technical issues.
• Study consultant comments and ensure proper amendments and resubmissions.
• Maintain updated civil engineering submittal registers and tracking logs.
• Support in preparing monthly progress reports for civil and structural engineering works.
• Coach and support junior engineers and distribute tasks when assigned by the Team Leader or Section Head.
3. Job Requirements
• Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
• Certifications: Professional certifications or training in PMP (Project Management Professional), Tekla, Revit Structure, or FIDIC contracts are considered an advantage.
• Experience: 5–7 years of experience in civil and structural engineering activities such as shop drawings, quantity surveying, technical submittals, and project coordination, preferably in construction or contracting companies.
• Software: AutoCAD, Revit Structure, Tekla Structures, Primavera P6 / MS Project, ERP systems (SAP / Oracle if applicable), quantity takeoff tools, and MS Office (Advanced Excel).
• Skills:
